How do I sign my lease?
Your landlord emails you a private signing link. Open it, read the full lease, and sign online - you do not need an account to sign. You can also sign from your portal if you have one.
You can type your legal name or draw your signature with your finger or mouse. Your typed legal name is always required as the electronic signature record; a drawn signature appears as real handwriting on the lease PDF.
You can download the signed lease anytime from Leases in your portal. If you disagree with the terms, you can decline and your landlord is notified.
When your landlord sends a change to your lease (an amendment) for signatures, Leases in your portal shows its status on that lease. Needs your signature means it is waiting for you: select it on that lease to review the amendment and sign it in your portal, the same way you sign a lease, or use the signing link we emailed you. You sign only once; signing in the portal also closes the emailed link. If you do not agree, choose Decline to sign and your landlord is notified. Waiting on other signers means your part is done and other people on the lease still have to sign; a count such as 1 of 2 signed shows how far along it is. Waiting on your landlord means your landlord has the next step: countersigning once everyone else has signed, or sending a new signing request. If your signing link expired or you declined, the portal cannot sign it either: ask your landlord to resend it.
