How does the move-out process work?
A move-out starts when your tenant gives notice from their portal or when you start one yourself. From there the app tracks the steps: acknowledge the notice, run a move-out inspection, settle the deposit, and finalize.
Steps can be skipped when they do not apply, and you can finalize whenever you are ready. Finalizing ends the lease, cancels future rent, stops auto-pay, and marks the tenant moved out.
Finalizing also records a Lease Termination Agreement with the reason and notes you entered. You can request the tenant's signature on it, but an unsigned agreement never blocks the termination - you can send it for signature later from the lease's amendments.
