What happens when I am screened?
Screening runs through Checkr, a background check provider. You first give written consent in the app, then complete your details - including your SSN - on Checkr's own secure site. PropertyFolio never sees or stores your SSN.
If your landlord asked you to pay the screening fee, you will see the amount and pay from your portal. You can download your own copy of the finished report anytime; if anything in it looks wrong, disputes go to Checkr directly.
