How do tenant invites and portal access work?
Inviting a tenant sends them an email link to create their portal account. The link works for 7 days; resending issues a fresh one.
Tenants can register and sign in with Google or Apple as well as with an email and password. Google and email work on the web portal and in both the iPhone and Android apps; Sign in with Apple is available on the web and on iPhone. Using the invited email (or the code from the invite email) is what links them to your property as a tenant.
A tenant who already has an account is connected automatically and notified - they do not need to register again.
Until a tenant registers, you can still manage everything about them (leases, rent records, documents). The portal is for their side of the relationship.
