What do the tenant statuses mean?
Each tenant moves through a simple flow: invited, registered, screening, lease, assigned, and moved out. The Tenants page shows where each person is and what the next step usually is.
Assigned means the tenant is on a current lease, or you marked them as your current tenant. Moving them out ends that.
You can skip steps that do not apply - screening is optional, and you can mark someone as your current tenant directly.
