How do I change an active lease?
Use Amendments. You can change the rent, extend the term, add or remove a tenant, allow a sublease, or write a custom change. The amendment is sent for signatures like the lease itself.
A rent change updates the future rent schedule - and if the tenant has auto-pay, the new amount is charged automatically going forward.
Tenants can also request a change (like a sublease or early termination) from their portal; you approve or reject it.
