How do late fees and reminders work?
If a lease has late fees configured, the app applies them automatically once rent is past the grace period, and sends the tenant escalating overdue reminders.
A payment that is still clearing through the bank never triggers a late fee or an overdue notice - the app waits for it to settle or fail first.
You can waive any late fee from the Payments page.
